WIFI and Cloud Bridge for VIctron BLE BMV and SmartShunt
WiFi and Cloud Bridge for Victron BLE BMV and SmartShunt (Model BEVE-1224)
Remote Victron monitoring without the Cerbo GX cost.
Looking for an easy, affordable way to check your Victron battery status over the internet? The Bogart Engineering WiFi and Cloud Bridge (BEVE-1224) is $109 — a fraction of the $200+ a Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX setup costs — built specifically for users who own a Victron SmartShunt or BMV and don't need an entire GX ecosystem just to get their data online.
Fix the Bluetooth range limit
BMV/Smarshunt's Bluetooth is great when you're standing right next to your battery bank, but its limited range means you lose the connection the moment you step away from your RV, boat, or off-grid cabin.
BEVE-1224 solves that:
- Wireless BLE listener: it sits near your battery bank and passively reads the Bluetooth data your SmartShunt or BMV Smart already broadcasts.
- No extra wiring: no VE.Direct cables to run, no holes to drill — it reads the existing Bluetooth signal.
- Cloud dashboard access: the bridge connects to your home WiFi and uploads your battery data — voltage, current, and state of charge — to a secure web dashboard you can check from your phone, tablet, or computer, wherever you are. Uploads happen on a configurable interval (as often as every minute), not instantly.
Why choose the Bogart WiFi Bridge over a Victron GX device?
- Simpler and cheaper: built specifically for owners of a single BMV or SmartShunt who don't need a full control-center device.
- Plug-and-play: no physical connection to your Victron hardware. Power the bridge, connect it to WiFi, and it starts reading the BLE broadcast automatically.
- Efficient hardware: draws just 0.8W (including buck converter losses) — a fraction of the 3–4W a Cerbo GX pulls continuously. That matters on a solar or off-grid battery bank where every watt of parasitic draw counts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Cerbo GX or Venus OS device to use this?
No. The Bogart WiFi Bridge operates independently. It replaces the need for a GX device if all you want is remote viewing of your shunt data.
Does this require a physical cable connection to my battery monitor?
No. It works entirely as a wireless BLE listener, reading the standard Bluetooth advertising data your Victron SmartShunt or BMV Smart already sends — no wiring required.
Can I view my data on the standard Victron VRM portal?
No — this device uploads to Bogart Engineering's own web dashboard, separate from VRM. That keeps the hardware affordable and the setup simple, without requiring the full Victron GX ecosystem.
What Victron models are compatible?
BEVE-1224 works with the Victron SmartShunt and the Victron BMV-712 Smart, both of which have built-in Bluetooth. It also works with the older BMV-700 or BMV-702 if you've added Victron's official Bluetooth Smart dongle, since those models don't have Bluetooth built in
